When lattice is used a height extension that is attached to the top of a Boundary Fence, you will find that your fence does not comply with AS1926.1-2012.
- Timber Lattice has open apertures that exceed 10mm
- The criss-cross components can be grabbed and as such are a climbable point
- The attachment of an extension creates more climbable points within NCZ5 of the Boundary Fence
- When used at an intersection with the pool barrier, the extension creates climbable points within NCZ3 of the pool barrier
- Remove old lattice and replace with a new fence constructed to a minimum height of 1800mm measured from poolside
- Be aware of the risks of installing a ColorBond lattice extension or any other extension for that matter to the top of your fence
- Install any height extension exceeding 200mm to the bottom of your Boundary Fence.
