Time is running out if you are about to sell or lease your property!

In 2012, the NSW Government reviewed and amended the Swimming Pools Act 1992 and now requires all swimming pools and spas to be registered. A valid Pool Compliance Certificate should also be issued before the property is leased or sold.

These changes are designed to enhance the safety of young children around backyard swimming pools and put a stop to easily preventable drownings, injuries and accidents.

The new law applies to all types of swimming pools and spa pools including in-ground, above-ground, indoor, portable and other vessels that are capable of being filled to a depth of 300mm or more of water. Bathroom spas that are emptied after use are excluded.

What do we do for you?

The role of an Accredited Pool Certifier is to inspect your gates, barriers & pool area for safety and compliance standards and identify any safety breaches and advise how to address them.

POOL CERTIFY are accredited certifiers of Swimming Pool Barriers.

If your pool or spa is found to be non-compliant with new laws, we will advise you exactly how to rectify any such issues. Once resolved, you will be eligible to receive a Compliance Certificate which becomes part of your contract of sale or lease for your property. Without it, you might lose your sale or lease.

A Certificate of Compliance is valid for three years, after which time, your pool will need to be re-certified.
